rustic riverside cabins surrounded by pristine lowland forest

The resort forms part of the 1,205 square kilometre Tabin Wildlife Reserve, a mix of secondary forest, mud volcanoes, and riverine vegetation that provides habitat for orangutans, pygmy elephants, and numerous bird species.

The lodge sits beside the Lipad River and is surrounded by lush secondary growth.

Facilities include a central open-sided restaurant and bar, a small shop, and lounge areas with forest views. Boardwalks connect the main building to chalets along the riverbank. The lodge operates with a focus on simple comfort rather than luxury, supported by experienced local guides and staff.

Power, hot water, and air conditioning are available throughout.

Rooms

Guest accommodation is in 20 timber chalets, a mix of River Chalets and Hill Chalets. All are raised slightly on stilts, with wooden decks overlooking either the Lipad River or the surrounding forest. Interiors are functional and comfortable with en suite bathrooms.

The River Chalets are slightly larger and closer to the main lodge, while the Hill Chalets offer more privacy and elevated views. Each unit has air conditioning, mosquito protection and ceiling fans.
