generous room layouts with calm surroundings and good privacy

Four Seasons Resort Langkawi is located on the north coast of Langkawi in the Tanjung Rhu area of northwest Malaysia.

The resort has become one of the most established high end properties on the island. The design blends Malay architectural elements with modern facilities and a low density layout across a large coastal plot.

The entrance road leads through landscaped grounds before arriving at a covered reception area set back from the beach.

The reception building contains a front desk and a lounge space with wide views through tall windows to the garden beyond. From reception, a pathway runs towards the central facilities, passing water features, planted courtyards, and shaded seating.

The main dining area is positioned near the sea with both indoor and open air seating. A second restaurant is located slightly further inland in a garden setting, offering quieter evening meals. There is a bar with outdoor seating facing the beach, used most often at sunset.

Behind the central lawn area is the main swimming pool with a separate family pool is located towards the rear of the property and is more sheltered.

The spa sits close to the mangroves and contains a number of individual treatment pavilions linked by garden paths.

A key feature of the resort is its access to surrounding natural areas. Boat trips run directly from the hotel to the Kilim Karst Geoforest Park, a protected area of limestone cliffs, mangrove channels, and calm water suitable for gentle wildlife viewing. Guided walks to nearby forest trails are offered most days and sea conditions are usually best from December through April.

Rooms

Guest accommodation at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi is in a total of around eighty eight rooms and villas, arranged in low rise buildings and stand alone units set among gardens and along the beachfront. All rooms are air conditioned and have indoor bathrooms with separate bathing and shower areas.

Garden View Pavilions: These rooms are set within landscaped gardens away from the beach. They have large bedrooms, high ceilings, and private outdoor seating areas screened by planting.

Partial Sea View Pavilions: Positioned closer to the seafront with glimpses of the water through trees. Layout is similar to the garden units but with a slightly larger outdoor space.

Beachfront Villas: Larger units located directly above the beach with private plunge pools, open plan living space and direct access to the sand. These are the most private options at the resort.

Family Villas: Two bedroom units placed in quiet sections of the property with easy access to the family pool and garden areas.
