Travel to Alaska
Alaska
is an enormous and glorious
wilderness area
brown bear salmon fishing season
Set in the far northwest of North America, separated from the contiguous USA by Canada, Alaska has vast areas of pristine wilderness and towering mountain ranges, including the iconic Denali, while fjords adorn the coastline.
The state is home to numerous National Parks, such as Denali, Lake Clark and Katmai. These protected areas provide habitats for brown bears as well as moose, wolves, eagles and a host of marine animals.
Our primary focus is on the May-Jul early summer period, when the marine salmon return back up the rivers to their spawning grounds.
One particular lodge is under the same wildlife-specialist ownership as properties that we use for jaguars in Brazil and pumas in Patagonia, so tend to focus most of our trips here.
