Safari to Katima Mulilo
Katima Mulilo
is a substantial working town
on the Caprivi Strip
on of only six bridges across the Zambezi River
Set on the south bank of the Zambezi River in the extreme northeast of Namibia, Katima Mulilo is a substantial working town which tends to be of little interest to most visitors, other than as a quick pit stop for those who are driving the long road along the Caprivi Strip.
The bridge just to the north of Katima is one of only six along the whole 2000km run of the Zambezi.
There is a good range of shops and services in the town, making it a major stopping point for traffic passing through the strip.
