is a quality mobile camp in the Serengeti area

a delightfully authentic safari experience

Ubuntu is a single mobile camp with two seasonal positions. From June to mid-November it sits out on the plains of the Lamai Wedge, to the north of the river in the Serengeti Mara area, in range of the Mara crossings. From mid-December to mid-March it moves to the Kusini area of the Serengeti Southwest for the calving season.

The property is owned and operated by Asilia Africa, one of the leading safari companies in East Africa, the owners of which are committed to both an earthy, authentic, high quality approach to safari and a very strong conservation ethos.

The camp is centred on a pair of simple mess tents, containing modest lounge and dining areas, leading out to a campfire. It is a genuinely mobile camp, eco-friendly and able to be dismantled in a couple of
days.

Rooms

Guest accommodation at Ubuntu is in ten canvas tents, including one four-sleeper family tent with two bedrooms and a central private lounge.

Each tent is en-suite with a traditional safari bucket shower, and has a private veranda and mesh side panels for natural light. Camp runs on solar power with a backup generator, with battery charging, Wi-Fi and complimentary laundry.

  • Tent : x9 : en-suite, bucket shower, private veranda
  • Family Tent : x1 : two bedrooms plus central lounge, sleeps four
