Tongole Wilderness Lodge is located in the 1800 square kilometre Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve in central Malawi.
The lodge is centred on a pleasant main building high above the river, leading out to a lower terrace with a nice swimming pool.

Nkhotakota tends to be included in trips very occasionally, usually for guests who are particularly interested in the area’s impressive rehabilitation project.
The usual stay duration is 3 nights.
Getting around
The Nkhotakota area is usually accessed by light aircraft from the international airport at Lilongwe to the lodge’s own airstrip in around 30 minutes, from where it is a further 10 minutes by road into camp.
It is also possible to drive into the area from Lilongwe, Liwonde or areas around Lake Malawi.
