an unusually characterful owner-run outpost

Ol Malo Lodge is located in the Laikipia North area of northcentral Kenya.

The lodge is privately owned, operated and hosted by the Francombe family, who have been in Kenya since just after the First World War. Founded in 1992, these days the lodge is primarily hosted by Will Francombe and his wife Chyulu, whilst daughters Anne and Julia are heavily involved in conservation and the welfare of the local Samburu people respectively.

The lodge is centred on a cluster of main buildings, leading out to a nice swimming pool.

Rooms

Guest accommodation at Ol Malo Lodge is in just four beautifully crafted rooms, each with a private bathroom and terrace with broad views.
