Travel to Lake Clark
Lake Clark
is a wild and scenic area
south of Anchorage

our preferred location for brown bears
Set in south-central Alaska, Lake Clark National Park runs from the Aleutian and Alaska mountain ranges down to the Cook Inlet.
The park is particularly renowned for the brown bears that frequent the coastal areas and rivers, especialy during the May-Jul salmon fishing season.
The area also offers some superb hiking and kayaking.
Remote and inaccessible, the key areas of Lake Clarke are primarily reached by light aircraft, either via the sealed airstrip at Port Alsworth or by landing directly on dirt airstrips at the more remote lodges.
Our primary focus has always been on creating trips to remote and exotic wilderness locations. With such a high proportion of our guests being based in the USA, this has led us to be rather neglectful of the wildernesses closer to home.
One particular lodge is under the same wildlife-specialist ownership as properties that we use for jaguars in Brazil and pumas in Patagonia, so tend to focus most of our trips here.
