Simien Mountains
The Simiens are Africa’s fifth highest mountain range, with occasionally snow-capped peaks reaching over 4500m/14800'. The scenery here is extraordinary, with wildlife highlights include gelada 'baboons', endemic walia ibex and Ethiopian wolves. A cool area for hiking and trekking.

Limalimo Lodge is located in the Simien Mountains in the north of Ethiopia.
The lodge is centred on a stylish main building with cosy lounge and dining areas.
Guest accommodation is in 14 comfortable rooms, all with remarkable views.
Activities include hiking, wildlife viewing and cultural interaction.
Perhaps the greatest highlight is interacting with habituated gelada 'baboons'.
Lalibela
Set in the north of Ethiopia, Lalibela is a small mountain town which is home to a collection of eleven world-famous rock-cut Ethiopian Orthodox Christian churches, which date from 600-1300 AD. Generally considered to be an essential stop on cultural explorations of the country.

Mezena Lodge is located in Lalibela in the north of Ethiopia.
Guest accommodation is in around 30 detached bungalows.
Not far from the lodge is some very famous rock-cut churches, mostly from around 1200AD.
The imagery tells familiar stories from the bible, in this historic outpost of Christianity.
Some of the churches are covered by protective roofs.
These are very sacred sites, still very much in active use to this day.
