Samburu
Set 230 km north of Nairobi, Samburu National Reserve is an arid and particularly atmospheric safari area, with a full range of wildlife, notably including Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes and gerenuks. Guest accommodation is in a wide range of lodges, the best of which are mostly located in the peaceful private conservancies around the periphery.

Saruni Samburu is located in the Samburu area.
The camp is centred on very chic open-plan public areas, with a campfire out front.
There is a small shop on the way to the rooms.
Guest accommodation is in a total of six wonderful Villas, four of which have two bedrooms.
Activities include vehicle safari, walking safari, mountain hiking, bush meals and village visits.
The primary activity is vehicle safari, both in the conseravancy and down into the main reserve.
There are also options for walking safari and mountain hiking.
Mara North
Set 200 km west of Nairobi, Mara North is an excellent private conservancy to the northeast of the main Maasai Mara reserve, with guest accommodation in a good range of camps and offering a wide range of safari and cultural activities.

The camp also offers high quality walking safari.
Visits to local Maasai villages are also possible.
Mara Naboisho
Set 200 km west of Nairobi, Mara Naboisho is an excellent private conservancy to the north of the main Maasai Mara reserve, with guest accommodation in a handful of good camps and offering a wide range of high quality safari activities.

Vehicle safari is possible day and night.
The walking safari here is particularly strong.
The wildlife viewing is usually strongest during the Jul-Oct dry season, although there are very good reasons to visit during other months.
