Camp N07
Camp N07
A collection of high quality camps
in the South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi areas

amazing value safari to some of Zambia’s most iconic camps
This camp does not actually exist, but is a name for a group of high quality camps throughout the northern sectors of South Luangwa National Park and Lower Zambezi, which are all owned or operated by Time & Tide.
Even during the high season when all camps are notionally fully booked, there remains a small percentage of space commonly referred to as ‘dead beds’. These come about either as isolated nights which cannot normally be built into an itinerary or through late cancellations.
Camp N07 is designed to take advantage of these spare nights at a considerably reduced rate, up to around 25% off the usual price.
In order to qualify for these discounts guests need to book 7 Camp N07 nights. At the time of booking you will not know which out of the camps in this grouping you will actually be visiting nor what will be the actual nights split between the camps. In fact you may not find out which camp you are going to until the morning of your arrival.
So there is a real element of lucky dip about this.
It should however be noted that firstly all of these camps are amongst the best in the country, there are no real bum deals.
Secondly, the rules that we outline below for camp selection by the operators make it virtually impossible to end up with a poorly balanced safari.
Thirdly, there is a pretty good chance that you will find yourself booked into exactly the same combination of camps that you would have visited when booking in the conventional full price fashion, since your trip will be optimised to be as close to the ideal combination as possible.
The only real downsides are that there is a risk you may spend a little more or less time in certain locations than you might otherwise have chosen and that you will not know exactly where you are going virtually until you get there. But if you can live with that, the savings can be significant.
Finally, it should be pointed out that guests booking Camp N07 will in no way be treated as second class citizens, this is a low cost way of accessing the exact same high levels of service experienced by full paying guests, these exceptional prices being offered in return for your flexibility in camp selection.
It really is a very good deal.

- Camps presently included in this Camp N07 grouping are …
South Luangwa North : Kakuli Camp, Luwi Camp, Mchenja Camp, Nsolo Camp
Lower Zambezi : Chongwe Camp
- There must be at least 7 nights, split usually with 2 nights at each camp in South Luangwa followed by 3 nights in Lower Zambezi. Occasionally, you may spend 3 nights in the one South Luangwa camp, but you will be able to walk in between.
- The Camp N07 combination cannot include any camps which feature elsewhere in the trip and should be chosen to best combine with these other camps.
Connections between the South Luangwa camps are usually by vehicle, sometimes including a boat transfer or if possible, by walking safari. After this, you would then fly down to the Lower Zambezi.
- Occasionally, the camp order may happen in reverse ie you would spend time in the Lower Zambezi before flying up to the South Luangwa camps. This would be an equally as good combination.
