a superb and exclusive safari retreat

Singita Milele is located in the Serengeti Grumeti area of northern Tanzania.

This property is owned and operated by Singita, one of the leading safari companies in Africa, the owners of which are committed to both an extremely comfortable and high quality approach to safari and a very strong conservation ethos.

This is a very high specification private house rental situated on a very large exclusive-use reserve bordering the Serengeti.

The house can only be rented in its entirety to a single group of up to ten guests and is fully serviced to the same elevated levels as the nearby lodges.

It is very elegantly appointed, with gorgeous lounge and dining spaces being fronted by a large infinity swimming pool and enormous views out over the plains.

Singita is a recognised collector of wines and there is a very extensive cellar at nearby Sasakwa Lodge, as well as spa and gym facilities.

Rooms

Guest accommodation at Singita Milele is in five suite rooms in the main building complex, each with a lovely private bathroom.

Activities

Singita Milele provides the following guided activities, not all of which are usually included in the price …

  • Vehicle safari
  • Walking safari
  • Mountain-bike safari
  • Bush meals
  • Balloon safari : not included
  • Anti-poaching unit visits
  • Cultural visits
  • Night vehicle safari

The Singita Grumeti Reserve tends to feature in a very low proportion of trips, largely due to the tight migration window and very high prices. The usual stay duration is 3-5 nights.

Seasonality

This Serengeti Grumeti area tends to be best for safari during the May-Jul migration season and the overlapping Jun-Oct dry season, which happily coincide with the main dry season, when weather conditions are at their best.

During the converse Nov-Apr season this Serengeti Grumeti area tends to be of less interest, but can serve a supporting role for safaris into the more southerly areas where the migration calving and rut events are taking place.

Getting there

The majority of people visiting the Grumeti Sector do so as part of a guided overland safari, so travel to their camp and around the area in their private vehicle.
