is a five night private cruise on the Brahmaputra River

a wonderfully exclusive and relaxing experience

Operating out of the town of Guwahati on the Brahmaputra River in Assam, MV Rudra Singha is a high quality live-aboard cruise boat.

The smallest boat in the fleet, the MV Rudra Singha is just 9.5 metres long and contains just one cabin.

The boat has a Main Deck with lounge, dining room and cabin, plus an Upper Deck with the wheelhouse and a sun deck.

Guest accommodation on the MV Rudra Singha is in just one cabin, with a small private bathroom and individual climate control.

Although primarily designed for a couple, it is possible to accommodate two adults and two children in the one room.

The Brahmaputra River flows through the Assam province of northeast India. Cruises on the river are usually combined with safari in Kaziranga, where there are tigers and rhinos.

These combinations typically extend over 8-10 nights.

Itinerary

MV Rudra Singha 5 is a five night itinerary which explores the Brahmaputra River immediately upstream and downstream from Kaziranga National Park.

Given that this boat is used only for private charters, there is usually a great deal of flexibility on start dates, trip durations and itineraries. The following section is therefore more of a guide to the kind of trip that can be undertaken within a four night period. Once you are on the river, there should be a fair amount of flexibility in what you actually get up to.

Please note that itinerary options may become limited by weather and river conditions.

Getting there

The city of Guwahati is almost exclusively accessed by air.

The main airport is surprisingly well served, with regular connections from many locations around the country, including Kolkata, Delhi, Jaipur and Mumbai.

There’s also a handful of smaller airports further upstream, which can be used to connect to cruises.
