a function farming town south of Hazyview
White River is located in the Panorama area of South Africa.
This modest town is situated on the Lowveld some 20 km north of the regional capital of Nelspruit, straddling the main road north towards Kruger and with gentle green hills climbing towards the Mpumalanga Drakensberg to the northwest.
The area has been a centre of agricultural production since veterans of the Anglo-Boer war were settled here in the early 1900s. Tropical fruits such as mangoes and lychees are a speciality.
