Travel to Hazyview
Hazyview
lies to the west of Kruger.
with good rural accommodation

a wide range of outdoor activities
Hazyview is located in the Panorama area of South Africa.
Set on the Lowveld between the Mpumalanga Drakensberg and the southern part of Kruger, the town is very much the hub for safari in the region and has an appropriately bustling feel.
The east of this area is generally quite unattractive, with a plethora of informal shanty settlements fringing the edges of Kruger. Lodges on this side are generally more mainstream and of much lower quality, being largely focused on offering low-cost low-quality day trips into the park.
To the west of town the landscapes are much more attractive, with mango farms and vineyards ranging across the lower slopes of the Mpumalanga Drakensberg mountains.
The lodges in this area tend to be much more focused on the attractions of the immediate area, including hiking, mountain-biking and quad-biking, river rafting, canopy zip lines and ballooning. There’s also a good selection of high quality rural restaurants.
