Travel to Panorama
Panorama
is a scenic rural area
to the west of Kruger
a wide range of mildly interesting locations
The Panorama region lies to the west and south of Kruger National Park in South Africa.
The region sweeps up a number of disparate rural areas ranging above and below the Mpumalanga Drakensberg Escarpment.
A couple or three nights in this area can work really well at the front end of a trip, providing a chance to recover from long-haul flights and slide gently into Africa, before heading out on safari.
The region contains a number of attractive rural retreats, particularly to the west of the town of Hazyview, from where you can undertake various scenic drives, explore old historic gold mining towns and take in a whole range of outdoor activities from hiking to white-water rafting.
We divide Panorama into thirteen areas, most likely you would choose to stay in just one, with Hazyview being the leading contender
