Campi ya Kanzi is located in the Amboseli area of southeast Kenya.

This property is owned by owner Luca Belpietro, a Kenyan of Italian descent, who is a renowned professional safari guide and bush pilot.

The camp is especially suited to experienced safari travellers and other people with a broader appreciation of nature and culture.

It has an open-sided lounge and dining areas under thatch, leading out to broad decks and a nice campfire area.

There is no swimming pool at the main lodge, but it may be possible to use the one over at the nearby Kanzi House if there are no guests in residence.

Rooms

Guest accommodation at Campi ya Kanzi is in eight large and comfortable tented rooms, each with an indoor bathroom and private verandah.

The Chyulu Hills area is often included in longer high-end explorations of Kenya, usually combined by air with quality lodges in the Maasai Mara and other safari areas further north.

The usual stay duration is 3-4 nights.

Getting there

The more popular lodges on the southwest side of the Chyulu Hills can be accessed by light aircraft into local airstrips or via the main airstrips down in Amboseli National Park.

The lodges on the forested north side are usually accessed by road, along the main Nairobi to Mombasa highway.
