Bwindi Forest
Set in the southwest of Uganda, Bwindi Forest is one of the prime locations in Africa for viewing mountain gorillas. The area contains a handful of good lodges and offers an excellent range of other forest and cultural activities, notably including interaction with the Batwa pygmies.

The reserve is home to over twenty families of gorillas, totalling over 400 individuals.
Further guided forest walks are also available to search for other flora and fauna.
It is also possible to visit a Batwa tribe and learn about their tradional culture.

Apoka Safari Lodge is located in the Kidepo Valley area.
The lodge is centred on a large main building, leading out to a swimming pool area.
Guest accommodation is in ten large Rooms with indoor bathrooms.
Activities are centred on vehicle safari, walking safari and night vehicle safari, as well as visits to local Karamajong villages.
The primary activity is vehicle safari within the national park during daylight hours.
Walking safari is also offered, but does not usually include deliberate approaches onto elephants or lions.
