Set 200 km inland from Dar es Salaam in the south of Tanzania, Selous (Nyerere National Park) is the only major wildlife reserve on the humid coastal plateau and has a uniquely languid and tropical feel, with a good range of wildlife, notably including wild-dogs and excellent motorboat safari.

Roho Ya Selous

Roho Ya Selous is located in the Selous area.

The camp is centred on a large tented mess, leading out to a swimming pool area.

Guest accommodation is in eight tented Rooms with indoor bathrooms and air-conditioning.

Activities include vehicle safari, motorboat safari and walking safari.

The primary activity is vehicle safari inside the reserve during daylight hours.

Walking safari is also offered, but tends to focus mainly on flora and tracking.

The camp also offers high quality motorboat safari out on the Rufiji River.

Michamvi

Set on the southeast coast of Zanzibar Island, Michamvi is a pleasantly remote beach area, with guest accommodation in several good quality lodges, offering a wide range of marine and cultural experiences. Less strong for diving.

Qambani Luxury Resort is located in the Michamvi area of Zanzibar Island.

The lodge is centred on an elegant main building, leading out to a swimming pool area.

Guest accommodation is in just six suites, some with a second bedroom for children ...

There is also the two-bedroomed Private Residence that operates separately from the main lodge.

Activities include diving, snorkelling, sailing, kayaking, kite-surfing, lagoon walks and cultural visits to local villages, as well as spa treatments.

Stonetown

Set on the west coast of Zanzibar Island, Stone Town is a fabulously historic and chaotic place, with guest accommodation in a wide range of characterful hotels, offering a wide range of largely cultural and historical activities.
