Nubian Rest House is located right alongside the Jebel Barkal, in the Karima area, 400km north of Khartoum.
The rest house is centred on a traditional main building overlooking lush gardens .
Guest accommodation is in 24 rooms, ranged around the central gardens.
The lodge is used as a base from which to explore the ruins of Jebel Barkal, Napata, Nuri and Old Dongola.
The adjacent Jebel Barkal has been a sacred site for at least 4000 years.
The tombs in this area are decorated with traditional Egyptian hieroglyphs (unlike those at Meroë).
