Tshokwane River Camp

Tshokwane River Camp is a seasonal, light-luxury tented safari camp situated along the Ripape Riverbed in the central section of Kruger National Park. Open during the South African winter season, the camp is positioned in one of the park’s most wildlife-rich regions, just a few kilometres from the iconic Tshokwane picnic site and roughly 90 minutes’ drive from Skukuza Airport. 

The camp is centred on refined but understated communal spaces under canvas, including lounge and dining areas with views over the dry riverbed and surrounding bush.

Rooms

Guest accommodation is in a limited collection of spacious canvas tents, set beneath the shade of trees along the Ripape Riverbed. The tents are designed in understated luxury, blending comfort with the rawness of the bush. 

Each tent includes a queen-size bed, mosquito netting, bedside lighting and charging outlets. A separate dressing area leads through to an en-suite bathroom with a safari shower (hot water provided daily), basin and a flushing chemical toilet.
