Set 620 km to the north of Antananarivo, Nosy Be is the largest of a cluster of beautiful tropical islands which offer some extremely strong marine activities. The main island is a bit too busy, but there's a handful of superb lodges on the smaller and more remote islands.

Eden Lodge is located in the Nosy Be area of northern Madagascar.
The lodge is centred on a large main building.
Guest accommodation is in eight large tented rooms.
Activities include forest walks, river expeditions, village visits and turtle nesting
Walking safari heads up into the hills behind the camp in search of lemurs.
Ankarana
Set in the far north of Madagascar, Ankarana is a large free-standing limestone massif which is best known for its impressive tsingy rock formations, dramatic caves and endemic wildlife including nine species of lemurs, with a great network of dramatic trails, including a small via ferrata.

Iharana Bush Camp
Iharana Bush Camp is set in the Ankarana area of northern Madagascar.
The lodge is set around a small lake.
Guest accommodation is in a total of 18 simple thatched structures.
Activities include guided hiking, via ferrata, caving, mountain-biking and village visits.
The main location for hiking is Ankarana National Park.
Another minor excursion is to the red tsingy formations.
