Windhoek is the capital of Namibia and the location of the main international airport, so most visitors pass through here at least once in their trip. It is usually possible to connect through without having to overnight, but actually it is a rather relaxed and pleasant place to break a journey.

Olive Exclusive is located in the city of Windhoek.
The hotel is centred on an apparently modest main building.
Guest accommodation is in seven individually styled Suites.
Damaraland North
Set in the northwest of Namibia, Damaraland North is a fabulous area of awesome desert scenery, unusually strong wildlife and superb remote lodges. If you could only visit one part of the country, this would have to be the one. We happily spend weeks up here in our spare time.
Day 2 , 3 , 4
Fly : Windhoek Eros to Hoanib Valley Camp

Hoanib Valley Camp is located in the Damaraland North area.
The camp is centred on an elegant tented mess, leading out to a nice campfire area.
Guest accommodation is seven tented Rooms with conventional bathrooms.
Activities include vehicle safari, rhino tracking, walking safari, bush meals and Himba village visits.
The primary activity is vehicle safari in the main riverbed, with highlights including desert elephants, giraffes, lions and brown hyenas.
Walking safari usually involves scaling hillsides above the valley to watch animals below.
Tracking black rhinos on foot is another major highlight, starting at a remote spring at dawn.
Skeleton Coast North
Set in the extreme northwest of Namibia, Skeleton Coast North is one of the most incredible and remote wilderness areas in Africa, with highlights including vast seal colonies, desert lions, elephants and giraffes, abandoned diamond mines, remote desert oases and treacherous quicksand. The best way to explore is by means of a serious overland expedition.

Shipwreck Lodge
Skeleton Coast Shipwreck Lodge is located in the very remote Skeleton Coast North area.
The lodge is centred on a cosy main area with distant views of the ocean.
Guest accommodation is in ten detached Rooms.
Activities are centred on the coastline and two dramatic ephemeral river valleys.
The best way to arrive at Shipwreck Lodge is to journey down the wonderful Hoanib River.
The Hoanib reaches the coast at Mowe Bay, from where we head north via the seal colony to the lodge.
The Hoarusib River lies immediately to the north of camp and leads inland to the distant village of Purros.
