Although this route does experience some considerable traffic, overall it delivers an impressive experience.

Jomolhari Lunana 27
Set in the Jomolhari area of western Bhutan, Jomolhari Lunana 27 is a twenty seven night trek which passes from Paro to Bumthang via the mountains to the north, with fully-supported camping at each overnight location. Although this route does experience some considerable traffic at the front end, the most part is through very remote areas. An epic trek for extreme mountain explorers.

Although apparently similar to the Thousand Lakes Trail, this is a much more remote route, which ends at the fabulous and very little-visited Dagana Dzong Monastery.

Haa Pilgrim 5
Set in the Haa area of western Bhutan, Haa Pilgrim 5 is a five night circular trek which explores the remote mountains in the northwest frontier region, including the sacred lake, Nub Tshona Pata, with fully-supported camping at each overnight location. A pleasantly off-the-beaten-track area and almost certainly the best shorter trek in the country.
